‘Poesia by Chris Chang’ is a Shanghai based designer brand clothing for fashion forward women and previledged girls from age 4 to 14. Designs are inspired by the vibrant colors of costumes around the world and traditional garb of Tibet, Mongolia, Yunnan and Xinjiang, cleverly interpreted into a kind of fun and funky, chic and glamorous way of dressing for the modern women.
Designer Chris Chang graduated from the prestigious Parsons School of Design and moved on to designing her own line of women’s wear called “Keyeyefive” before being recruited by Prada an1998 as the General Manager of Prada Taiwan.

In 2006, the world of luxury fashion prompted Chris to look at the market of luxury clothing for children. Ultra chic mothers unable to find couture clothes for their daughters motivated her to start her own line of children’s couture clothing under the name Poesia (from latin word peosis meaning poetry). She sold her children’s wear line to Barneys New York , 15 of Neiman Marcus stores across north America and around 20 boutique stores throughout California and East Coast.

“The concept of my childrens wear was always the shrunken version of chic women’s wear, therefore it’s logical for me to go back into women’s wear when the timing was right”. That timing came in fall of 2008 when she started producing women’s ready-to-wear, Poesia by Chris Chang, selling exclusively within China market.

Chris hopes to provide an option for women across the world who believe in dressing as an artform and looking for unique, glamourous, humorous, yet still affordable designs. “ My clothing is created for the stylish and eccentric global woman.”
